Inspired by the fertile tea fields in Xinyang, Zhengzhou (鄭州信陽), the design of the packaging for Wen Xin Tea’s most premium product line is an earthy green.
The name “Zhong Yuan Yi Hao” (中原一號) signifies that the tea is China’s No. 1; and the Chinese word “one” (一) is the design’s bold centrepiece. Not only is it a symbol for the product name, it portrays the product’s top positining, and abstractly captures the landscape of the region. Ancient poems celebrating the region’s tea decorate the inner cover to generate a multi-sensorial experience; while reading them, individuals would gain a moment of calm in the midst of their busy modern life. Graphics of Xinyang’s Black and White Dragon Waterfalls (黑、白龍潭) adorn the inner boxes, completing the tea journey.
